Lexie began 3 years ago on the internet as a soloist singer/song writer. With no song writing or guitar experience she sat down December 2006 in her kitchen and wrote a song, it made her happy so she wrote another and then another and then another... well... you get the idea. Anyways... within 8 months she'd gained a world-wide internet following, some song writing awards and loads of internet radio airplay, but she still had not left her kitchen and ventured out to perform live.
August 2007 her neighbour handed her a flyer for a local song writing contest to pen a song for the homeless charity "Axiom" so, she entered. After making it through to the finals she had the chance to showcase her song in front of a 250 crowd and a panel of judges made up from the media. With only 10 months of guitar playing experience and 11 months of singing she got up on that stage November 2007 to a rowdy crowd. “… that was the most terrifying thing I've ever done, but it was amazing and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!”
So for another 8 months off she went all on her lonesome doing the woman and guitar solo thang... but she was never completely happy with her sound. She could not play the songs as she could hear them in her head or how she had written them and intended them to be heard. She is the first to admit she’s not a guitarist, she calls herself a song writer and singer... so what she really wished for was a backing band.

July 2008 fate handed her the friendship of local drummer, a Mr Pete McClelland, now Pete had been in the business for a wee while so they sat down over a cup of tea and had a chin wag about what she wanted to achieve and with his help a band began to form. However, like a pair of your favourite shoes, it took a little time to settle in to the right line up. Although within a relatively short 12 months she found herself performing on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with a bunch of talented musicians she proudly called her band.
“These guys bring life to my tunes, just as I'd always wanted then to have when they were first written. They’ve got me out of the kitchen and onto the road! We are out performing live whenever and wherever we can, we have appeared 3 times on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with another visit due very soon! We are playing at some wonderful festivals and venues, plus we are supporting some excellent artists including just recently the fabulous Bex Marshall (BBC 2 Bob Harris & Paul Jones live sessions). I'm still loving writing songs... and to hear them played by the guys is just the icing on the cake! I cannot wait to see what the next 3 years brings!”

Pete has experience oozing out of his hands. Playing since he can remember he has kept the beat for some well known names... take Ruby Turner for starters.

Incredibly Danny has only been playing guitar for a few short years. Orginally he would be found behind a drum kit but we are grateful for the day he decided to pick up a guitar. Many a time, after a Danny Solo, the remainder of the band has been left staring at each other with big fat stupid grins!

Steve is the steady rock of the band... with years of bass playing in his boots he keeps our feet very firmly on the ground and quite simply keeps us all sane!
